  1. Sarah, Preston and Family!

Merry Christmas! I love these photos! Sorry it's been so long since I have visited your blog. I love the iphone app you use that imitates the Provia 100 slides!

I believe however you can shoot the real thing. If I remember, you recently acquired a wonderful Kodak Brownie Hawkeye Flash camera.

Here are tons of examples from that camera on Flickr.com :

Now if you're still interested when you come back from that...

The Kodak Brownie Hawkeye Flash camera uses 620 roll film. It's the same size as 120 roll film only you get more exposures than the 120 roll film. Here's one place (that I know of) where you can purchase 620 roll film:

Scroll down the page until you see 'Kodak Portra 160 Color Film / 620 Format'. It's beautiful film, scans nicely and can be developed locally at a lab(or send it to me and I'll do it for you!). I believe 620 film will give you 24 exposures. Get a roll if you can. Here's how to load and unload 620 film in a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye Flash camera:

You're set to go so grab the kiddos head to the park and shoot up a roll. Take it to a local lab or send it to me. If you take it to a local lab, make sure of ONE THING ask for the spool back with your photos. Make sure they give it to you and that they don't throw it away. Have them give you a CD with the pics scanned on it.

You may not want to mess with all that but if you do you'll have fun and will enjoy a bit of photo history no one has seen for a number years. Not only that but you'll have some lovely photos to share.

    Merry Christmas to all!

  2. Wow, Terry, THANK YOU so much! I will definitely be trying it out soon and you have saved me so much research time. The iphone app is so easy to use and send to my blog...I'm afraid it has made me a bit lazy in my picture taking. ;-)

I hope you and Harriett have a Merry Christmas!
