A Redo

I have tried and tried...never ends well.
This skirt was $3.50 at Walmart and I added the yellow and grey bias tape to it. It turned out just swell (as long as you didn't look too closely at it) and I had her wear it for her 4th bday party.
You can barely see it in the pic below.

After one wash, it now looks like this.   :-(

Unruly bias tape and holes.  Boo!!!

Today I am going to give the skirt (only worn once) a new look!  This lace will hopefully do the trick.
I'll be back tomorrow to show you my stunning results!  Hahaha!!!

  1. There are 2 ways to sew on bias tape. You can either a.) sandwich the fabric between the fold of the tape and sew one line or b.) open up the bias tape, sew one side then wrap it around the sew again. The second way keeps the holes away but has two seams (one is on the inside and you really don't see it though). I thought the skirt was so cute.

  2. Thank you! Next time I have to try the B method! (and pin more...I hate to pin!) I wish you lived closer!!!
