Fall Fishing

Today we did a little fishing...or should I say shell searching, dirt digging, and worm torturing.

Sweet Summer, Please Don't Go

I am not ready for the cold and having to get all bundled up every time we leave the house. ;-( We soaked up the sun one last time at the pool today. Not the cutest feet, but I think it says "summer" perfectly!

They just wouldn't let him float in peace.

Brothers...they like to splash a lot!

Such a monkey!

On the up side, with the cold comes Christmas!!!

Another Before and After

I took this photo at the OKC Memorial back in May. It's a beautiful and emotional shot. I like that the personal memorials are the focus with Brady and Madelyn in background looking, not quite comprehending what it all means.

Before (SOOC) After
What I learned today!
I learned how to put color back into a black and white photo! I know that it is not a new thing, but I just figured out how to do it. And although I like the full color photo better, I was excited to learn something new and wanted to share it!

Poor little pink ducky! It still has black and white feet...oops!

Before and After

This beautiful young lady is my niece Kiah. My sister asked me to take their family pictures back in July. I was so excited and nervous to do it! My strategy was to take a lot and hope for a few good ones. They turned out really good and was actually shocked at how many good ones we got. I didn't shoot them in Auto mode, but I'm not knowledgeable on all the settings on my camera so I just guessed a little and liked what I was getting. This first picture is a straight out of camera shot. I love this one of Kiah! She is very photogenic! But it needs some help. I have never taken a photography or photoshop class so I am having to learn on my own and it is a little overwhelming. I know there is so much you can do in photoshop and want to know it all! Today I was determined to learn something new so I read a blog that has some photography/photoshop tips and then practiced with this picture.

After (using Photoshop Elements)

It isn't perfect but so much better! There is so much to learn. Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Branson Part 2

We are home and back to reality. :-( It was a wonderful vacation while it lasted though! The shopping and hotel where my favorite parts of our trip. Why, you may ask? Well because without kids they are so much more enjoyable! The showboat and museum were good too, but I could have just as easily enjoyed them with the kiddos. Shopping and hotel...not so much! I am convinced that if we didn't have kids we would be perfectly happy living here in this hotel forever! I wouldn't need a house to clean or even a full kitchen to cook in. Nope, across the street is a shopping center and restaurants to feed me!

I love outlet malls!!!

The beautiful lobby.

Check out the curvy hallways!

My handsome husband turned "30" on Saturday! He was so excited! Well, not really.

I really do want to live here, but I am pretty sure it just wouldn't look the same with toys everywhere.

The view of the shopping center from our room. We walked over every evening to stroll through the shops or eat dinner.

Branson Part 1

Saturday evening, after a day of shopping, we enjoyed dinner and a show on this beautiful boat.

I took a few pics from the deck before the shows got started.

They performed like 30 songs in 10 minutes!

Todd, the main act, is a comedic ventriloquist.

He is hilarious!!!

Sunday we went to Ripley's Believe It or Not...it was ok.
We really did have fun here! It just wasn't what I expected.

The kiddos had fun too! Thank you so very much Kristan and Miah!!!
