Groovy Bowling

Skating rink was closed. Bummer! So we gave bowling a shot. I'll let the pictures tell the story...

Preston is an amazing Dad!

Brady went with the chunk it to the side technique.

Yeah, I'm pretty awesome at this mom!

You mean I have to take turns?

Fine, I'll just lay right here.
This is hard work!

We left smelling like smoke...yuck! Happy Saturday!

Sew Sarah Sew!

Today Madelyn and Brady watched The Little Mermaid for the first time, how could that be! It is one of my all time favorite Disney movies. I watched it out of the corner of my eye as I sewed and sewed and sewed. I don't have anything complete to show you yet so I am posting some of my finished projects from the past few weeks, unfortunately they were all taken with my iPhone and aren't the greatest.

House slippers!

Baby shoes to match the heart that I
stitched to a onesie and a hair barrette!

Cut off a tank top and added a skirt
to make a dress and accessories!

A skirt for my new niece to coordinate with
Maddie's dress! Do you like my model? ; )

Bright baby blanket!

How did this picture get on here?
I made chocolate chip cookie bars today
and wanted to share the beautiful deliciousness!

I hope to have some fun pics to share tomorrow. We have plans to go roller skating!!! It is one of those things I have really been wanting to do this summer but keep putting it off. Could be a disaster waiting to happen, but I am going to give it a shot!

Lazy Summer Days

I can't believe I am going to say this, but I am actually a teeny tiny bit ready for school to start. Getting back on a schedule or some sort of routine will be nice. I am not a morning person so sleeping in has been wonderful. It's the trying to go to sleep at night that has become a problem! Brady and Madelyn are easily entertained and that I am thankful for because we have had a lot of lazy days at home this summer. Brady has quite the imagination and likes to take anything and everything he can get his hands and CREATE something. It amazes me at times the things he comes up with! I hope he never loses the innocent passion he has inside him.

My loves!

My. Name. Is. Brady. I. Am. A. Robot.

I have approximately one month left before Brady starts kindergarten! Wow! There are things that I want to do with the kiddos this summer but keep putting them off. I need to make a list, quit making excuses, and have some fun!

Booster Seats and no more Dora, please!

Hello! I am waiting to watch Big Brother with Preston so I figured it was the perfect time to tell you about our day. Not really much to tell. I watched an adorable sweet baby girl this morning during Sunday School and the service. As soon as it was over I picked Preston up from work and rushed to TaMolly's, hoping to beat the rush. Man is that a busy place! I finished up one sewing project and began another. Meanwhile, I have listened to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Blues Clues, and Dora. I don't want to rush my kiddos to grow up, I know that will happen too fast on it's own, but can't wait for the day they don't want to watch Dora!

What we did today...

A quick pic before church.
Madelyn tried so hard to keep her eyes open for me.
It was an extremely bright sunny morning!

Tablecloth booster seats...

with a cute tie in the back!

They work pretty good! To bad they are already coming apart.
I need to use a stronger waterproof fabric and foam instead of poly-fil.

Not sure what these will be just yet, but probably a blanket or burp cloth.
Fun fabric!

Tomorrow is going to be a long day. I just have that feeling! We need groceries oh so badly and that means a trip to Wal-Mart. Ugh! This morning we were out of pop tarts and milk for cereal. We were running short on time so I couldn't fix something. No problem! I zipped in and out of the Dollar General on our way to church and they ate their breakfast during Sunday School. We just might have to make a stop at the doughnut shop in the morning on our way to WallyWorld. It's starting to sound like a great day already! ; )

Snow Cones!

Cherry, vanilla with cream, and strawberry were the choices of flavor tonight! They were delicious and it was good to get out of the house. I never want to clean out a closet again, please!!! Ok, so it wasn't all that bad. And I ended the evening with a cute little sewing project. Although the idea is good (in my opinion) and it looks cute, the actual end result may not work or hold up like I had hoped. I only finished one and will post pics of them tomorrow when they are both complete.

What we did today...

Closet. Done. Better.

Yummm!

They are precious turkey birds!

My sewing project!

Tomorrow is going to be a wonderful day! Church will be great, Mexican food will be yummo, and a lazy afternoon in my sweats...perfect!!!

A Challenge

I am tired, more mentally than physically. Organizing a closet is not one of my strong points, to say the least. I want everything to have a place and it still look organized AND is easy to get to. Not easy! And I haven't figured out how to make it happen. But I am not giving up!

What we did today...

Enjoyed a yummy pepperoni calzone!

Tackled this closet.

Made this mess...

And this...

But I am so proud of my big boy for
putting together this puzzle all by himself!

Tomorrow I will attempt to put the closet back together the best I can. I really hope I have time to do something fun with the family and maybe even get a sewing project done. We'll see!

I'm a Blogger!!!!!

Hi everyone! I love to read blogs and some might call me a bit of a blog stalker. I find them a wonderful way to document life and look forward to sharing mine with you!

Today was a great day! PAYDAY!!!

We ate at this charming little cafe.
It's on Collegiate St.! Weird.

Dr. Pepper...Good For Life...not the hips!

Next we stopped for a mini photo shoot.
Brady insisted it was too hot out and needed some encouragement to play along for me.

AND we made a quick stop at one of my favorite places!
Check out the cute vintage sheet I found to add to my collection!!!

Tomorrow we clean out the closet that seems to collect all. Pictures and details to come. I know you are on the edge of your seats waiting anxiously! ;-)
