Routine IS for me!

Routine went out the window for me while I was in college. Class times change from semester to semester and my new found freedom made we want to rebel against a "routine"...and I did. Being a stay at home mom didn't help me get back on track. In fact, it has probably made it worse. We just kinda go with the flow. Eat when we get hungry, go to bed when we want, sleep in as late as we want because, except for Sunday, there is nowhere we had to be...until now. Now we have a routine and I LOVE it! I get up by 6:40, wake the kids by 7:30, and are out the door by 8:15. Getting up early means going to bed early. The kiddos are in bed at 8 o'clock! Brady wasn't sure why he had to go to bed when it was still light out so I told him it would be dark in just a few minutes and that he could watch the sky through the blinds as it turned dark. Five minutes later they are out! I am feeling better and it's been easier to keep up with the house work. Praise God for a routine! One day a week I do all the laundry and that just happens to be today so I better get off of here. Have a great day and remember me as I wash, dry, fold, wash, dry, fold, wash, dry, fold...and then put it all away. ;-)

This morning Madelyn watched Finding Nemo from their fire truck tent. She can't wait until it's time to go pick up Brady!

Halloween excitement already!

Can you guess what we got in the mail today?
Yes. A magazine full of nothing but Halloween costumes. Hmmm...
Brady wanted me to read the description for each costume from the front page to the last. No, I didn't do it.
They looked at it for at least an hour and were inspired to get all dressed up!

No Tears Here

It's official! I have a kindergartner!!! He is going to a great school and will be out at noon everyday so there is no need for crying. Next year will probably be a different story. Mrs. NolandHe sat down and started putting together the puzzle blocks forgetting all about us being there.
Preston: Bye Brady!
Me: Have a great day and listen to the teacher!
Brady: Oh, you guys are still here? Ok. I will.
Me: Love you!
Brady: Love you too mom.Maddie saw all the kids playing and didn't want to leave. :(
She is kinda lost without her Bubba!
Friday evening we made Brady's cake and they LOVED holding the eggs.Mmmmmm!
Brady wanted a Spiderman cake but he got a spider web one instead. LOL! He was happy and that's what counts, right? But first thing Saturday morning, before the pizza and cake, I woke them up to breakfast in bed! Brady thought I was the greatest mom in the whole world and kept telling Preston we need to do something really nice for Momma because she is so nice to us. Aaaah, he is the sweetest thing ever!Maddie (in her Santa pj's) didn't really understand why she was eating in bed, but was thrilled to have a waffle! I am so blessed!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

We packed up some sandwiches and had a picnic at the pool.PB&J!!!Chips and Peaches too! Tomorrow is pizza, cake, and ice cream with Dad! He has worked the last four days, has tomorrow off, and then back to work for another four. :-( But then we are heading to Branson!!! :-)

More Fun Week Pics

Smores!
We stayed up late watching Furry Vengeance.I have to say that I don't like to go to the library. It's a quiet really organized place and when you add kids it just equals stress! But it's fun week and the kids enjoy it so we went.
This morning we got up early (I need the practice!) and went to the doughnut shop for breakfast!Maddie had to have pink sprinkles and Brady just wanted the biggest one they had! After lunch we went to the pool for a couple of hours. When we got home we had fudge popsicles. She is such a mess!

I am running out of ideas for fun week and it's only Tuesday. Help!

Back to School Fun Week!

This week is all about him! Kindergarten starts in one week so we are going to spend it doing as many fun things as we can. I asked them last night what they wanted to do for today. Brady wanted to go swimming and Madelyn wanted to go camping. Being a 103 out today, camping wasn't going to happen! But who says you can't camp out in the house! After church and some Mexican food we went to the pool and then came home to set up the tent. We are even going to make smores tonight after supper!
We are on our way!
"Snarkeling"Brady drove us home!Air conditioning and no bugs...my kind of camping! ;-)

I can sew pants!

Who knew! I made my first pair of pants ever, and it was easy! They are only pajama pants and I messed up a few times, but hey they are wearable. I am going to "try" to make a long sleeved shirt out of some of my old t-shirts to go with them. I have never made anything with sleeves so we'll see how that goes. Before I show you the pants, look what Maddie has been up to!

Yep, she wrote on not just one but two of the walls!

My old shirts match the fabric perfectly!

I got a yard of this fabric for $1.50!!!

Cute!

Just playing with my camera.

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
