What we have been up to...

Maddie had her first meet a couple of weeks ago.  She loved it and did pretty good!  I wish I had a better pic but Maddie is the one flipping in front of the lady with the green hoodie.  She has a meet in Dallas the 15th and then one here on March 8th!!!

Mom's Birthday

Jan. 16 was my Mom's birthday...family and friends sent her up some balloons.  I wish I could share my thoughts and feelings from the last 10.5 months but I'm not good with words.  It's hard.  I'm a little jealous she is in heaven...heaven, I've never thought so much about it as I do now.  

My Mom was the most selfless person I have ever known.  I'm so thankful God gave me her!  I don't know why he wanted her back so soon, but it's ok, I'll get to be with her again one day because she helped lead me to Jesus.  He is the one and only way!  

My sweet baby boy.

Last month he turned 9...  How can that be?  He is the sweetest sweet thing and I pray nothing will ever harden his heart.  Sweet dreams!

Our awesome weekend!

This weekend I was able to meet my new nephew!  There was also snow, sledding, and geocaching...and family!  Thank you God for family!!!

Hello!!!  We are enjoying our last few days before school starts back up!

Happy New Year!

Today we spent the afternoon in Rockwall shopping...just had to spend that Christmas cash and gift cards!  ;-)  We had a very blessed Christmas with family and are excited for 2014.  I pray we can be more generous, forgiving, and selfless this year!!!

Benny eventually dried and is once again a cute fur ball.  Life will do the same...well, you know what I mean.

A night at the rodeo!

Day 59/365

On Sunday Brady got a new pair of boots.  Yesterday he brought home a free ticket to tonights rodeo...perfect timing!  Preston took him and his friend to watch the bucking bulls while Maddie and I painted her nails and watched Gnomeo and Juliet.  A great day was had by all!

I had to include this one of Maddie.  She completed this little puzzle 100% by herself in no time!

Saturday we spent the day inside hoping Brady would be feeling better.

Sunday we did a little shopping after church.  Brady was worn out and should probably have been at home.  Maddie wanted to be sleeping in the picture too.  ;)

(I am so thankful for Preston!)

I took Brady to another Dr. on Monday because his fever still wasn't staying down and his cough sounded more congested. He got an antibiotic and was so much better on Tuesday. No fever and his cough was productive!

Yesterday Maddie and I had a lunch/play date with some friends! We enjoyed the beautiful signs that spring isn't too far behind.

Brady's temperature was 101.4 when I picked him up from school.  4 full days of fighting a fever.  He crashed as soon as he got home.  I am hoping a weekend of rest at home is all he needs.

Brady's fever was back to 101 after school, but with some Tylenol it was down in no time.  Other than the fever, he is still his same silly self!

Saturday we spent a lot of time watching Maddie and Brady at their last Upward games.  They did great and had fun showing off for Grandpa and Grandma!

Sunday was church and Farkle day. 

Preston and I enjoyed a movie while Farkle game 874 was going down.  Yaaaay for a date!

Monday the kiddos were spoiled a little and they loved it a lot! 
Daisy wasn't tired so she got to snuggle with Uncle Preston while the other kiddos were in bed.
Thank you Grandpa and Grandma and cousins for coming to see us!!!

Brady was running a fever yesterday and Maddie woke up with an awful cough so they both stayed home from school.  I decided to take them to the Dr. because I didn't want them missing more school.  Turns out I paid $190 for him to tell me they have a cold.  :(  I should have given it more time.  Maddie's cough pretty much went away and I was able to keep Brady's fever down with cold medicine so they were both back to school today!

Tonight Brady had a Valentine's program at school.  It was so cute!  He looks quite handsome in red too!
