My mom has a basement FULL of stuff and is wanting to get rid of a lot and organize the rest. I did my part to help her. Well not really, I didn't even make a dent in it. I did, however, check into renting a uhaul truck to "help out" some more, but they were waaaaaay too much. This is what Preston could squeeze into the Explorer. I can just picture us getting a flat tire on the way home and having to unload all of this along the roadside to get to the tire...PRAISE GOD that didn't happen!
My vintage fabric and sheets stash is growing! I have yet to make anything from it, but I have plans. That's what I keep telling Preston, "I have plans!". He yells back, "Hoarder!!!". Whatev. It's a good thing he loves me so. I just hope he never makes me choose. Fabric or him? Him or fabric? Oh I am totally 100% joking! He would never make me choose. ;-)
Sorry, this (blogging) is what I do when I am procrastinating. I am, without a doubt, a procrastinator and doing what I do best, procrastinating. Laundry and packing is what I should be doing. *yawn* Boring! Buuuut it has to be done. I'll be back tomorrow with a "Thrifting Thursday" post. Yaaaay!
Thankfully the nest is in the tree and not on the light fixture in our entryway. I knocked down a nest (nothing in it) about a week ago, scrubbed the mountain pile of poo off the cement, and had Preston place a plastic snake up there. Our neighbor (just up the road), which also happens to be our pastor, told us about the snake tip to scare the birds away. This was after he trekked through the poo to ring our doorbell. Ugh! A little embarrassing, but these birds just don't give up. We have knocked one down before and man can they rebuild fast! Anyhoo, sorry to all who have had to dodge the doo doo when visiting us...I hope the freaky looking plastic snake does its job!
Brady loves to build a fort! Does he play in it much? No. It becomes a mission and he can spend hours getting it just right. Maddie, on the other hand, likes to be where Brady is. Does she play in it? Not really. She likes to bug her brother.
